Iranian Girl: Isfahan!

Iranian girl from Abyaneh village in Isfahan province of Iran..(isn’t she adorable?) This beautiful ancient village is one of the oldest in Iran and traces its roots to the Zoroastrian faith..The language of the residents of Abyaneh is Parthian Pahlavi..The attire of the ladies and girls in Abyaneh includes a white long scarf that covers the hair, shoulders and upper trunk and the scarf has a colourful floral design..The attire is completed with colourful dresses alongwith a special pair of pants..In winter, a velvet vest is added to this outfit..The locals have persistently maintained this traditional attire despite pressures from time to time by the government trying to change it..This post is written by Aban Mignonne Chinoy..
